Main St., Blue Earth, Minnesota, for the formal probate of an instrument purporting to be the Will of the Decedent dated, May 2, 2008, ("Will") and for the appointment of Darlene A. Huston, whose address is 214 Kings Dr., Blue Earth, MN 56013 as Personal Representative of the Estate of the Decedent in an Unsupervised administration. Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper and if no objections are filed or raised, the Personal Representative will be appointed with full power to administer the Estate including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and do all necessary acts for the Estate.

Notice is also given that (subject to Minn. 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.

The Blue Earth Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau is seeking competitive bids for the construction of a wood framed structure of a Welcome Center and Museum. Construction of a new 4,325 s.f. wood frame structure to include: concrete footings, foundations and floor slabs, exterior wall framing, roof framing, interior partitions, floor coverings, ceilings, doors, storefront windows, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other required construction for the Blue Earth Museum in Blue Earth, MN as indicated on the Construction Documents.

Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 pm CST on Tuesday, January 30th at the council chambers City Hall office, located at 125 West 6th Street in Blue Earth, MN. Late bids will not be opened or received. Bids must be placed in a sealed envelope and labeled, "Blue Earth Museum Bid." No faxed or email bids will be accepted. All bids will be publicly read aloud at the close of the bid.

Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount. This Bid Bond must accompany the bids that are delivered in a sealed envelope at the time of bidding.

Bid Documents for a "Single Prime" - Stipulated Sum contract may be downloaded from Quest CDN at www.questcdn.com, ebid project number 5475497. They also may be obtained from the office of the Architect, Brunton Architects & Engineers, upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit, by cash, in the amount of $250 for one set of plans and specifications.

Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate.

BLUE EARTH AREA SCHOOL BOARD PROCEEDINGS

December 11, 2017

The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Blue Earth Area, I.S.D. #2860 was held on Monday, December 11, 2017, in Blue Earth, MN.

Present were School Board members: J.Coxworth, S. Hauskins, J. Haugh, F. Bly, S. Ripley, A. Patten and S. Benz. Also Attending were Supt. Gough, principals, members of the press, staff and public.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman Bly. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Alan Wilhelmi was present and conducted the "Truth in Taxation Hearing" for the District.

Supt. Gough amended the agenda, adding the resignation of custodian Garrett Whitecell. On a Hauskins/Benz motion, the Board approved the agenda as amended.

At 6:22 p.m. Chairman Bly called for a short recess to move the public input portion of the meeting to the multi purpose gym.

The meeting reconvened in the multipurpose gym at 6:25 p.m.

Public Input:

Johanna Hocker, Dale Hurley, John Huisman, Mari Hicks, Randal Anderson, Kim Sickler, Randy Olson, Jake Anderson, Larry Anderson, Julie Ackerman, Amy Ihle and Mary Ehrich addressed the Board.

At 7:00 p.m. Chairman Bly called for a short recess to move the meeting back to the district conference room.

The meeting reconvened in the district conference room at 7:04 p.m.

On a Hauskins/Haugh motion the Board approved the minutes from the October meeting as amended.

The minutes from the November meeting were approved on a Haugh/Patten motion.

The Board approved three money transfers in the amount of $1,292,870.26. Benz/Ripley motion.

Action Items:

On a Hauskins/Haugh motion the Board approved the 2016-2017 Audit Report.

A resolution to approve the Final 2017 Payable 2018 Property Tax Levy was approved on a Haugh/Ripley motion. Voting in favor were Coxworth, Hauskins, Haugh, Bly, Ripley and Benz. Opposed none.

An easement with the City of Blue Earth for sidewalk installation was approved on a Benz/Patten motion.

The 2018-2021 Superintendent Contract for Dr. Evan Gough was approved on a Bly/Ripley motion.

Personnel:

The following resignations were approved on a Haugh/Patten motion: Molly Gray - HS Paraprofessional; Garrett Whitecell - Custodian.

On a Hauskins/Benz motion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.

CITY OF WINNEBAGO

Notice is hereby given that the Winnebago Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a conditional use permit to DGOGWinnebagoMN LLC, owner of a property located at 701 Main St. South, Winnebago, MN (Dollar General). The conditional use permit request is to operate a retail department store in an I-1 (Industrial) district. This meeting and public hearing will take place at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Winnebago Municipal Center.

All persons who wish to express their opinions regarding the proposed conditional use permit request can do so at this meeting.
