REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

CITY OF BLUE EARTH

RESIDENTIAL RECYCLING

The City of Blue Earth is requesting proposals for collection, transportation and processing of residential recycling within the City. RFP packet is available to be picked up at City Hall and also online at becity.org. Prices and terms of the proposal as stated must be valid for the length of any resulting contract

The current recycling collection goals should be considered and include: efficiency in the collection methods, reliable level of service, and meeting the City ordinance of a maximum of three ton/axle requirements on light traffic roads. A successful submittal is recommended to include suggestions to what the respondent has to offer in regards to street damage mitigation.

Please refer all questions to City Hall at (507) 526-7336. Proposals must be received at City Hall, 125 W. 6th Street, PO Box 38, Blue Earth, MN. 56013. Proposals must be received no later than 5:00 PM August 25th, 2017 to receive consideration.

Notice is hereby given that the Winnebago Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the purposes of issuing a conditional use permit to Sean and Shanna Meyer, owner of a property located at 326 1st Ave NW.; Wallace Addition of Winnebago, Block 2, lots 11 and 12. The conditional use permit request is for a chain-link fence to be constructed in the front yard of the property in an R-1 district. The applicants request the permit for health and safety concerns of their daughter. ORDINANCE NO. 17-02

CITY OF BLUE EARTH

AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY

The City Council of the City of Blue Earth do ordain as follows:

SECTION I

That the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Blue Earth is the fee owner of certain real property located in the City of Blue Earth and legally described as follows:

The East Half of Lot Six (6) and Seven (7) except the North 66 feet thereof in Block Nine (9) in Dow and Bowen's Addition to Blue Earth City (now City of Blue Earth), Faribault County, Minnesota according to the Plat of said Addition on file and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds.

SECTION II

Austin J. Decker and Raelynn M. Decker are desirous of purchasing the property in Section I above and the City Council and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Blue Earth both desire to sell said parcel of real property for a price of $2,000.00.

SECTION III

Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 12, Section 12.02 of the City Charter of the City of Blue Earth, the City of Blue Earth is hereby authorized to sell and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Blue Earth is hereby authorized to sell the property described in Section I of this ordinance and the Mayor and City Administrator and the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority are hereby authorized to convey said real property to the purchaser upon payment of the purchase price.

SECTION IV

This Ordinance shall not be effective until thirty (30) days after its passage and publication.
